Happy 4th of July everyone!
Since my last post, there were 2 additional brief measles exposures at restaurants in Brentwood and Westwood on June 7 & 8 from travelers, but the incubation period has now passed with no additional cases reported.  If you would like to get updates right away, I recommend subscribing to get the L.A. It has now been 26 days since the last reported case of measles in Los Angeles.  Since the incubation time for measles is 21 days, this should mean we have seen the last of our local outbreak.  Parents of babies too young to be vaccinated can breathe easier and feel comfortable resuming normal activities.
